Â
Coming from the Skeena River region of northwestern British Columbia, now residing in Kamloops, BC, Jamie is a member of the Lax Gibuu (Wolf Clan) of the Gitxsan Nation and holds the traditional name Wii’nagim’tsiwnget. His work is known for being clear, accessible, and rooted in respect, helping leaders understand their roles with confidence while strengthening the systems that support strong, community-centred decision-making.
Jamie’s background spans both technical fields and community-based governance. This blend gives him a unique ability to bridge strategic thinking, operational realities, and cultural context. Through leadership sessions, strategic planning, and the development of governance tools, he creates environments where people feel heard, supported, and empowered to lead.
Today, Jamie works alongside Nations to build strong governance foundations, support effective leadership, and create long-term pathways for community success, grounded in Gitxsan values, practical experience, and a commitment to strengthening Indigenous governance.
